Hi, readers!! Today’s post is going to be a bit shorter because I have been busy all day today with school, homework, studying for College Algebra, dance practice (yes, I’m back in dance for my high school’s dance team), and getting ready for tomorrow because I have my first performances that day. So…these next two days are going to be a bit crazy! Since I will be really busy tomorrow with the game I’m performing at, I will put up my next challenge post tomorrow morning so that I won’t post it late tomorrow night.
For today’s post I will be discussing the scene that shocked me the most in any anime I have seen. There will be spoilers involved today, so read at your own risk! This will be another post about Danganronpanpa because there was just this one scene from the anime game that left me staring at the screen, shaking my head slowly, and trying to process all that was just shown to me. There was a scene from Cowboy Bebop that had shocked me, but this moment from Danganronpanpa had me so speechless that it made its way to the top of my list of shocking anime/game scenes.
And what is that one scene? A few of you might be asking. Well, I’ll tell you.
(IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN OR PLAYED DANGANRONPA: GOODBYE DESPAIR, I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT READING THIS BECAUSE THIS WILL GIVE AWAY A LOT OF SPOILERS FOR THE GAME!!!!!)
In the second game of the Danganronpanpa franchise, during the fifth trial for the murder of Nagito Komaeda, the traitor is revealed as the few surviving members figure out who had killed Nagito. Then, one of the characters, Chiaki Nanami, pretty much says out of the blue that she’s the traitor of the game, and that she knows about the killing game for Hope’s Peak Academy.
Readers, as soon as I saw this part, I just paused the gameplay (since I watched the gameplays on YouTube), and had to walk away from my computer screen to process all that had happened, while shedding so many tears. I mean…this precious cinnamon roll character…was the traitor!! She had done nothing wrong…nothing wrong… in any of the trials and free time events! And to make matters worse, her execution was CRUEL, leaving me sobbing at the end of Chapter 5. I did not expect her to be the traitor, or even die, for that matter.
If you have seen or played the game, you probably already know how it felt watching one of the most beloved characters being killed and that she betrayed everyone. I was so hurt after viewing the end of that chapter…and I couldn’t even binge-watch anymore for the rest of the day.
If you have played or seen the second game from this franchise and have gotten to this point of the game, leave a comment saying how you felt about this heartbreaking scene!
GG 🙂 ❤
